Played inside Roger when I played for Blockhouse bay. It was a charity match. A highlight for me as he was the most gifted player I have ever seen.
I remember a game Carlaw park when the Kiwi’s were playing Australia and he tackled the great Graham Langlans an Australian immortal , not only tackled him but tooled the ball off him and scored.
An amazing thing to do back then
